Bitter

Saturday 7 February 2015

Today was bitter. Today was not my finest hour. I woke up in the early hours of the morning with a horrendous throat infection, but that doesn't mean the show can't go on.
I still cracked on with life - though it might've not been the most sensible of moves as I just crashed for a good two hours!

Hat - H&M // Cowl Neck Knit - Forever21 // Jeans - Topshop // Boots - New Look // Coat - Vintage Topshop // Wrist Cuff - Unknown vintage

I'm wearing everything from the high street, which I usually stray away from. I like online boutiques, such as ASOS Marketplace, Whitepepper and Vintage shops. But I needed a good pair of jeans that would keep me warm in the cold winters and these do the job, paired with the rest of my garb.

I wouldn't recommend the Knit though. As wonderful as the shape is, it's itchy and prickly (but I see that as a sacrifice for looking the way I want to look).

Until next time!

OVERSIZED AGAIN?

Thursday 5 February 2015

This February I'm going to finally come to terms with the fact that I really love wearing oversized everything. Whether that be jumpers, shirts or plain tees - I just adore the comfortability of it all and the way it looks. It has multiple benefits, such as making your legs look super sleek and long, you are cozy and warm for the entire duration of wearing said oversized garment and damn, do you look stylish.

It's a benefit that it's more or less trending right now too!

Pair it with my second favourite thing to wear, which consists of a super natural makeup look and a daring contrast -  deep crimson lips - and you're on the right track to feeling fly.

So this month I'll be sticking to this aesthetic and showcasing how I style and wear it - aside from Valentines Day, which will be a blogpost in itself for what I have planned... Exciting, no?

Life as I Know It

Monday 2 February 2015

It's suddenly 2015 and since my last blog post a lot has happened.

I got into another university, I had a vast summer full of ups and downs and made new acquaintances. I went abroad. I fell in love - something I never expected to happen. I lost a friend. I lost a dear woman, my grandmother. I went to University. I inevitably failed due to struggling with the bereavement. I gained new skills and got tattooed and now I'm on the path to self employment. The path to being independent and being 20 years of age.

This year will be the year of success.

I wave goodbye to 2014 with part hurt and part relief.

FOR NOW

Wednesday 26 February 2014

So... a lot has happened, I guess. I left university as I felt the course wasn't working out for me as well as a few personal decisions. I was around someone who made me feel like the world was falling to pieces, and it wasn't worth the £9,000+ a year.

For now, I'm back at home. With a stable job, maybe another along the way. I plan to take an Art Foundation before diving back into the world of expensive university life. Maybe I will go back, maybe I wont. But I know I want to. I want to learn and heighten my abilities. For now, it's all about healing and expanding on myself/ my skills.

All I can say for now is that I'm in a positive way and moving onwards from really icky negative experiences. It's funny how a human being can affect your mental wellbeing.

What have I been up to? Let's see...

Got hideously drunk...

Chopped all my locks off to become a turquoise mermaid...

Received flowers...

Blew up a cupcake...

Drew/still drawing my heart out...

Bought magnificent shoes...

Here's for 2014, y'all.

IT'S WEDNESDAY NIGHT BABY AND I'M ALIVE!

Sunday 8 December 2013

Okay perhaps not a Wednesday night, but a Sunday instead.

Although it's very difficult for me to comprehend, Christmas is right around the corner and I'm trying my hardest to feel the christmassy spirit. But I'm not.

To try and revive this spirit, I've made a wish list of things that I will most likely never buy for myself, but would like to.
